Why Lamborghini Has Ditched EVs And Ferrari Hasn’t

Two supercar makers--Ferrari and Lamborghini--are taking different paths on EVs. Lamborghini boss Stephan Winkelmann said in a recent interview that the market for EV supercars is "close to zero." Meanwhile, Ferrari appears to be pressing ahead. Some say the segment faces fundamental challenges: specifically, customers who think EVs can't ever really offer what a 10 or 12 cylinder engine does, no matter how powerful. But others say Ferrari is making a bet that Lamborghini might not have to.
